Regarding the tariffs on goods from the EU, I have seen some who are completely wrong in their discussions. We have something in all (as far as I know) EU memberstates that is called VAT. VAT is a consumertax that is paid for by the end user. VAT can vary slightly between countries and depending on what it is. VAT has nothing to do with where the goods comes from/is manufactured. It is applied equally for goods from within the EU.
I’ve had this same conversation about #Python many times with many different people. They say that seeing the curly braces is what makes them understand the structure of the code. I don’t believe them. I think the code they’re looking at has curly braces, yes, but it’s because it is indented to match that they “get it”.
If you collapse all whitespace, you immediately expose their mistaken beliefs.
When you’re writing code in any language at all, you of course, are going to indent it correctly. All Python does is make the rest of your team indent exactly like you.
They just don’t like change! Significant whitespace is different and scary. They don’t know why; so they make up an explanation! They’re not lying (except to themselves).
