Dass sich #DieGrünen (bzw. große Teile derer) jetzt als einzig übrig gebliebene bürgerliche Partei in #Deutschland, die als Letzte das Erbe der #BRD hochhalten, verstehen ist angesichts ihrer bundesrepublikanischen Geschichte außerordentlich lustig.

Aber der #Rechtsruck erfordert halt Opfer von uns allen & ne Phantasie-Nische in der #Politik is anscheinend immer noch besser als gar keine.

Entendu sut un #podcast une personne qui promeut l'ecoconception, démarche plutôt louable tant ecologique que niveau respect vie privée des utilidateurices :-)
En revanche, le conseil donné par cette mrme.personne de ne pas héberger soit même ses vidéos et de les mettre sur #youtube car meilleure disponibilité et la transcription est "gratuite"... Je OUINOUIN :-/

Europeiske bedrifter bør plukke opp hansken og levere høyere kvalitet, mer effektive produkter som er rimeligere å eie.

Further geeking-out with copyparty:

I did some file transfer speed tests with #copyparty: could I saturate a Gigabit ethernet connection? This means "make it go ~112MB/sec, steadily". ...even on a bunch of punishing, tiny files (10s of GB worth)? The answer is "Yes", with the ftp server. It's secured with a self-signed SSL certificate (which copyparty self-generates).

I started copyparty (in an UV venv), turning on the FTP server (on port 3390) with a command like:

/home/user/uv-aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu/uv run copyparty --ftps 3390

For my FTP client in #Linux, I used Filezilla. To almost perfectly saturate the Gigabit ethernet, I set the simultaneous connections in Filezilla to 4 (in the Settings). This maxes out one of the 4 CPU cores of my #RaspberryPi 5. Filezilla accepted the self-signed certificate, which was nice.

I was happy with the results; the FTP server isn't a "toy", and delivered a solid performance. :blob_cat_heart:

At best, that’s somewhere between crazy and insane on the spectrum of API design.
More honestly, I am not sure if there is even a mark for this on the scale of API design.

At the very least, there should be a documented `CancelCreationException`.
Even that is not good.

“Technofeudalism” is officially my word of the year, if not the decade (century, possibly). I wish more people were aware of it.

TL;DR: I’m super grateful for the existence of the #Fediverse and the fact I’ve learned how to self-host – two amazing ways to resist technofeudalism.

Ich suche ein schlankes CMS zum selbst hosten mit einem LNMP. Was nimmt man denn da heute? Gerne auch ohne Datenbank. Wordpress ist viel zu groß, und auch nicht mehr wirklich bedienbar. #bludit hat mir gefallen, aber da scheint es keine Entwicklung mehr zu geben, das Git ist sehr ruhig. Wichtig ist, dass die Autoren mit einem WYSIWYG Editor Beiträge erstellen können, die direkt online sind. Also MD und SSGs sind keine Option für mich. Themes dürften auch noch gerne einfach anzupassen sein. Also eigentlich so wie Wordpress mal vor 20 Jahren war.

Oh man, #PHP. Da grübelt man, weshalb eine Website so langsam ist. Dann stellt sich heraus, dass alleine die open_basedir-Option 50% der Leistung benötigt. Abgeschaltet, Serverlast und Antwortzeiten 50% geringer. WTF? Oder stimmt da etwas mit dem System nicht, wenn die lstats auf ext4 unter #Linux so viel Zeit brauchen?

When I added the threat-actor @misp galaxy type on Mar 4, 2016, I didn’t expect that, years later, vendors would still invent new names for already known threat actors, avoid using UUIDs, reuse similar names for different actors, and create confusing names by mixing tools or software used by the actors.

That’s why we continue the tedious work of maintaining a proper threat-actor database, with relationships to other galaxies such as MITRE ATT&CK, Malpedia, and more.

After years of this monastic effort, we’re seeing the benefits—many open-source and proprietary tools now rely on the MISP galaxy, which serves as both an open standard and a public knowledge base.

We also maintain a dedicated website for all MISP galaxies. Here’s an example from the threat-actor database:

　ここでは、マストドンで表示することを前提にしてブログカードは使わないことにしていたのだが、そのことをすっかり忘れて、ブログカードブロックの中にURLを貼り付けたら、マストドンではURLしか表示されなかった。Cocoonではブログカードブロックを使わなくてもURLを貼り付けるだけでブログカードにしてくれる機能があるのだけど、それをオフにすることもできる。

内部リンクブログカードは「Cocoon設定→ブログカード」タブにある「内部ブログカードの設定」から変更することが可能です。

Каждый раз, когда человечество создаёт очередной инструмент на машинном обучении, оно сперва любуется пользой от его работы, а потом пугается своего отражения внутри. С большими языковыми моделями история повторилась с ускорением. От восторга перед ответами ChatGPT до шока от таблиц, где жизнь человека глубоко неравноценна, прошло меньше двух лет. Звучит странно, но языковые модели предвзяты. У них есть политические взгляды, любимые расы и даже люди, которыми они не прочь пожертвовать. Но обо всём по порядку.
