Had fun testing Yunohost over the weekend.
It's a wonderful project that makes it dead simple to set up your own private cloud with your favorite #opensource software because it takes away the hard parts by choosing some sane defaults for you. If you want to set up #fediverse services there's a great selection of software there too.
Was testing on a Raspberry Pi 3B and I forgot it only had 1GB of memory. While it worked, it ran low on memory pretty fast, so I recommend something beefier if you're planning to do something serious.

Backups sind wichtig. Deshalb habe ich das ganze Wochenende damit verbracht, die für mich richtige Backup-Lösung zu finden, die in einem Docker-Container läuft.
"Früher" war es BackupPC. Leider wird dieses Programm nicht mehr weiterentwickelt.
Getestet habe ich diesmal:
- UrBackup
- Kopia
- Duplicati
- Rdiff-Backup mit Rdiffweb
Alle haben sie ihre großen Vor- und Nachteile. Man muss einfach für sich entscheiden, welche Nachteile man ignorieren kann und welche nicht.
Falls es interessant für dich ist: Letztendlich habe ich mich für **Kopia** entschieden. Das lässt meine Festplatten momentan auf meinem Büroserver auf Volltouren laufen. 🙂
Einen Vergleich zwischen diesen Programmen liefere ich jetzt nicht, da sie alle ihre Vorteile und viele Nachteile haben.

When you are working on a project with a different architecture than the standard MVC which is expecting controllers, entities and repositories in specific folders, updating your project dependencies trigger recipes which create default templates files and directories if your project don't follow the expected folder structure.

Studio still out of action since last November’s flood. It’s been gutted for months, but no sign of rebuild starting. The insurance claim just gets bounced around between Companies; Insurers, assessors, builders, everyone passing the buck, and nothing moves. Some good folks are trying, but they seem powerless.
Meanwhile, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, had surgery, radiotherapy, years of meds ahead. It all feels surreal. I just want to be in my studio. It’s deeply frustrating.
If UK companies are like this, the UK is in more trouble than I thought. RSA is the insurer, they’re pulling out of the domestic market, and don’t seem to care about their reputation. I’ve contacted their CEO, Ken Norwood, twice, which led to complaints opened and closed, reopened, but no real progress. I could go to the ombudsman, but who wants that hassle? What I want is for someone to put a rocket under this whole process and get my studio sorted.

VDPTypes is a support library made for customized build scripts, asset conversion, and development of VDP buffer programs. It includes:
* Utility code for loading and converting assets to VDP formats
* VDP-IL, an intermediate language for VDU commands using Python data structures, giving them some syntax and automatic checking
* Code generation for several language targets on Agon (unfinished)
