So now I want to make this into a #GDExtension. The problem is that I don't know #CPlusPlus... I am going through what's in learncpp.com but it's really oriented towards people who are way less experienced than I am at general programming, which is annoying because I have to skim a lot and it is a waste of time plus there's a risk of missing something important. I looked at some books, but everything I saw seemed pretty heavily oriented towards systems/low-level programming or, if it's a #GameDev book, towards building your own engine, which is not what I need right now. If I wanted to make everything from scratch, I'd just use Rust...

Does anyone have a resource to recommend that would be appropriate? Something that will help me understand the higher level features of C++, classes, interfaces, things to watch out for and things to know... Also how to structure a program, compiling tips, working with macros, etc.

And here I am again, shouting into the dark, baring my feelings and imagining I have to fight for the kind of attention I want/need.

This little corner of the electronic universe is so much more friendly than other places I've been, but we're still all too far away from each other, it's too difficult to connect in a way that I can understand.

You're all lovely, funny, sweet people with a dash of spicy but none of you are here in my bsmt with me, or hanging with my kids or helping me find work.

I need brothers and sisters. I need family. Uncles, aunts. I can't ask that of you. At least I feel I can't.

Might be awkward if you responded positively. What would I do then? 😅

For those prone to worry: I am safe. My family is safe. I'm in an ongoing situationship with my employer related to short term disability leave and pay. I'm trying to find work, it's proving shitty and #ADHD is not working in my favour. I've got advice.

only lasted 1 hour, then some distorted head threw over a concept of a whole building confirmed sveral times before and got it painted white at 8 o clock in the morning :):) (painted it at noght due to the workerd). reason "this depicts a snake pit, this is the executive floor, you made this on purpose" ... ok, get it, your head reflects who you are in my paonting...concept overthrown, finished left 2 floors in 2 more days, got cash, and anyhow the building went to the ground few years later...

so here you go... the "snake pit" organism (at least I took a shot :)

Successfully managed to get #TDE compiled for my #RaspberryPi 4 running #SlackwareAArch64. It's actually decently fast on the hardware, especially compared to regular KDE Plasma.

What worries me more than China or even Russia launching satellites is that "Dozens of satellites are being launched each week, primarily by SpaceX to continue deploying the Starlink broadband network."

A private company taking over space with apparently no control and no accountability from anyone seems way more dangerous to me.
